Center Austria Hosts the Annual Meeting of the Austrian Studies Association

UNO’s Center Austria: The Austrian Marshall Plan Center for European Studies, together with the Institute for Contemporary History at our partner university, the University of Innsbruck, organized the 2022 Meeting of the Austrian Studies Association.
From April 12-15, over a hundred scholars from North America and Europe traveled to New Orleans to present research on a broad range of topics in Austrian history and culture. The theme of this year’s conference “War and Democracy in Austrian History and Culture” reflected in part the conference venue at the Higgins Hotel, which partners with the National WWII Museum.
