Upcoming: Construction and Tradition of Knowledge in Linguistics

The Austrian Marshall Plan Center for European Studies is hosting a talk on the scholarly evolution of linguistics in Austria. Katja Maierhofer, PhD candidate of the University of Vienna and the current Visiting Junior Research Fellow at Center Austria will present her dissertation that deals with “Construction and Tradition of Knowledge in Linguistics” and takes special account to German Studies in Austria.
 
Besides the history of scholarship, Katja Maierhofer’s research interests include the philosophy of science, language ideologies, and questions of identity formation in Austrian intellectual history.
