A Message from Dr. Marion Wieser

On the Occasion of 25 Years of the Austrian Marshall Plan Center for European Studies

The Innsbruck-New Orleans partnership and the work of Center Austria at UNO shaped a big part of my life and

eventually also my career. Today, I am enjoying working in International Higher Education myself, making sure that many more students and faculty members can enjoy the great experiences of study and work/research abroad and the many positive aspects of working together globally on matters of higher education, in research and teaching.

All my years living in New Orleans and working for this wonderful and unique transatlantic partnership, made New Orleans my second home. I wish Center Austria and the UNO-Innsbruck partnership that it can provide many more students and staff with such formative experiences. This is one of the best examples of soft diplomacy in higher education there is!
